Hello, my name is Sara Hernández, I’m 26 years old and I’m from Mexico City. I first became involved with the Epworth League six years ago when I took a gap year and participated in their summer program back in 2016. Throughout that year I helped the Epworth League grow its ministry by taking on various roles such as assisting and organizing different events and programs.
After graduating from my undergraduate studies in Business Administration in Spring of 2021, I decided to pursue a position that aligned with my personal purpose and values. Being an Epworth League’s Operations Manager allows me not only to combine my love for people, nature and spirituality but to grow as a person and share my testimony with others. With my business degree I have the knowledge and ability to help out with administrative, accounting and management matters.
For the last year, I’ve worked 10 hours a week on EL’s accounting, marketing, and management. I have been doing things like bookkeeping, creating and examining financial reports, social media management, and project management. I plan to transition to a half-time position to keep helping this organization not only to grow but to get to more people and keep on doing what I love the most, connecting with others.
